Handling A Client Web Design Project From Beginning To The End

Here is an insight into how we manage the web design business.  Our routine activities in managing a client’s web-design project revolve around signing the initial contact, to proposal and contract, the production process and finally the launching. Given below is a crux of my experience in the industry:

Qualifying Criteria

As a manager of a web design company I get many emails on my website on a daily basis. In order avoid wasting precious time in meetings, preparing proposals and so on for the clients who don’t meet the requisites.  I have devised a method for qualifying new prospect. When the lead is referred by a trusted contact this is all that I need to get the project started. In the other case, I reply to them with an email that contains a list of our pricing, policies, and other relevant things.

I often include a link to that part of our website that tells how we work. I close the email by saying, “Please go through the details, and let me know if this is a good fit.”

Random tip: Web design dubai is a keyword you need to focus your content on because this is being searched a gazillion times. Similarly, you can replace ‘Dubai’ with your target market’s location.

Clear Expectations

It is critical not only for this but any business to unwrap everything. You should never leave your clients “When will I get a response?” or “what is coming up next?” or “am I needed anywhere?”  Or you can say that setting expectations with the client is extremely important. We ensure that our clients clearly know what’s next. Be it over the phone or email I prefer spelling everything out for my clients.  And trust me our clients always appreciate this clarity.

Flexibility

Being self-employed has its own pros and cons. One of the cons is that you don’t have a boss who nags you about everything. Thus you have to rely on yourself that everything is of top quality.

This can be done by testing everything that you do, and delivering your clients what they exactly want. Doing so not only satisfies the clients but reduces the after support that is needed after the project has been launched.

As much as you try to ensure the best of everything there will always be some room for problems like, unexpected bugs, delayed payment or client queries. Whenever one of these situations arrives I try to be as flexible as possible.  However, it is also advised to have policies for everything.
